It is the character of the park and its surrounding environment, that make staying at Pen y Bont Touring Park so enjoyable. To achieve this we try to have as small a negative environmental impact as possible, and encourage our guests to do the same

Within the Park we aim to:

Use energy efficient light bulbs where possible.

Encourage flora and fauna onto the site by leaving areas uncut to enable wildflowers to grow, and create habitat for wildlife. We also place bird and bat boxes around the site to encourage nesting and have planted buddleia plants to create a butterfly bar.

Timed hedge cutting so that it disturbs nests minimally.

Promote our local facilities such as, the village butcher, local post office and our local puse environmentally kind cleaning agents, and avoid the use of chemicals and pesticides where suitable alternatives are available,

Ensure that new equipment has a high energy efficiency rating.

Use recycled paper within the office, and try to re-use paper where possible. The office also uses reconditioned printer cartridges and all used cartridges are returned to be re-filled.

Keep lighting at night to a safe minimum to avoid light pollution.

Use push button taps for our showers and wash basins to avoid water waste.

To help us maintain and enhance our park we would appreciate it if our guests would take time to look at the suggested practical tips below.
